These double door cars were primarily used for hauling lumber. CP 298083 displays the earliest style of CP Rail “Action Red” repaint with the black side sills. The black sills were later dropped from repainted cars. CP used the reporting marks of subsidiary Esquimalt & Nanaimo to have these cars routed back towards British Columbia.
