This car represents one of a 50-car series, CP 313500-313549, built in 1966 by International Equipment Co. of Napanee, ON. based on the design licensed from Evans Products. The car features two 22′ long, wood-lined troughs for loading coiled sheet steel and has removeable steel covers. The CP cars do not have side running boards, which are common to the cars built by Evans.
This model is a modified Walthers coil steel car. The side walkways and supports have been removed and an overlay of thin sheet styrene added to the side to cover up the holes left by removing the walkways. Plano Products material was used for the end walkways.
