Unfortunately no accurate models of these cars exist, but we need these mechanical reefers and the old Athearn model is the closest representative. These silver reefers were disgusting dirt magnets, and got quite filthy even only after a few years under their belts.

The factory paint on the model was left intact, the roofwalk removed and the side sill modified to match its prototype. Then the side sill and ends were painted black and its roof repainted silver.
