While CP had a few series of 50′ combination door boxcars, and several series of 40′ double door boxcars of various descriptions, they didn’t really have any true 50′ double door boxcars, except for this series which was rebuilt from old 40′ boxcars by Winnipeg’s Weston shops in 1968. This car was modelled by Ted Kocyla to represent one of these Weston rebuilds.
