After having stalled for quite a while due to work effort being directed elsewhere, the Wanapitei helix is a bit closer to being finished. Track is completely laid up to the top turn of the helix; once spline is laid through Stinson, that will be able to be connected to the helix. Track at left that heads off behind the stairs in the background is the Nickel Sub. to Creighton Mine, which does it’s own 2-turn helix around the Wanapitei-Stinson helix. A helix is an investment in space, and since the WRMRC layout uses so many helices and hidden tracks the layout is designed to make the most of these investments by putting multiple helices and turnaround loops in the same physical space.
