Construction progress in the Sprecher/Nickel subdivision area. At left are the stairs and intermediate walkway just recently completed in July. The ceiling joists and flooring for the floor above are also new construction this summer. For orientation, Creighton mine is located on the upper level at left. The lower level at left features a part of the Nickel subdivision to extend the run between Creighton Mine and the Inco interchange at Clarabelle, located on the lower level behind and to the right of the camera. (Hidden trackage behind the wall and under the stairs connect the different levels. The slag loader and CN interchange will be at the far end of the lower level, just above the loops of the staging yard visible along the wall. The upper level at right will feature the westbound mainline and the ore interchange at Sprecher. The benchwork visible beyond the jackpost at the end of the aisle is Sudbury yard.
