Levack

Levack

Levack station in the 1970s. The INCO Levack Spur is to the left of the station, and runs uphill to the left through the town of Levack to INCO’s Levack Mine. The CP main line is to the right. Note the position of the station platform relative to the CP main and the siding switch. The Cartier subdivision was once double track between Cartier and Romford; when CTC was installed in the late 1960s, most of the line between Cartier and Sudbury was single-tracked. The station platform would have aligned with the removed second track.
