CP 243306

CP 243306 is an example of one of CP’s 1929-built 8’6″ interior height “mini-boxes”. By the 1970s, there were few of these cars left in service, many however existed with work service numbers and tool and storage cars, or rebuilt as bunk, dining, office and generator cars. By the end of its revenue service life, this car was probably used primarily for grain service, as its low interior height and narrow 5′ door would have made it less attractive for non-bulk commodities.
