These 50′ combination door boxcars were originally built in 1959 by Canadian Car & Foundry in the 293435-293934 series for automobile loading. Later, the internal loading devices would be removed and the cars renumbered into several groups in the 201000 range. These cars with their wide 15′ door openings were especially favoured for lumber service.
